Children's aspirin?!

Question: My doctor wants me to take a baby aspirin once a day just as a safety measure. The only kind I could find was chewable and I am wondering if it would make a difference if it was swallowed whole with water.thanks

No it does not matter how you ingest the baby aspirin. Chewable or not, the aspirin will still help keep your blood flow at a thin, consistent rate.

Chewing begins the digestion process. It is important to chew the tablet so that it is quickly absorbed in the stomach.

Bayer has that orange chewable I think its 80mgs dose which they don't say for children anymore.. just a 'low dose' asprin. That is what my Dad takes its the same thing. It tastes good I chew them ;-)

A baby aspirin is not for children. They call it baby aspirin because it is so tiny. A baby aspirin is something a lot of doctors suggest to help with cholesterol & blood pressure. There are no asprins for children as people under 12 are not suppose to have asprin.

I take the baby chewable ones. That what my doctors have always told me to get for the last 10 years
