I hurt my wrist over two months ago, had osteo edema and other sympotoms...?!
Question: I still can't use my hand. I tried to pick up a FORK and my wrist hurt. I forgot for a moment a few days ago and picked up something that only weighed two pounds...and I spent the rest of the night in agony.
This pain seems like I will never be able to use this hand again.
The doctor even admitted , it's not getting better and may always be this way.
What would make a simple fall RUIN my hand permanently?
Have you ever heard of a seeming small accident causing a lifetime disability?

Heard of it? How about it happened to me. I didn't fall though. What I did was wrench it when this lady tried to hit me with her car in a parking lot ... she hit the grocery cart & I was hanging on to the cart with my hand & I guess it was just as well as falling on my wrist. It took a couple months before I was able to use it. It took six months before I had full use of it. It's eight months now and I'm only reminded that there was something wrong now & again. You won't find help for it at a regular doctor, though, but you can go to a chiropractor, which is what I did.
