Chest wall pain wont go away, any ideas?!
Question: Been to Er, monitored heart, did EKG, also did a V.G. study, I have this pain in the center of my chest and in my jaw...also, feels like heart is beating really hard at times..sometimes short of breath. Docs assure all is ok. I do not feel anxious and this has even woke me up. They just called it chest wall main. Any ideas that might help?

i get the same sort of symptoms, i also had all the tests done with nothing found apart from stress and panic attacks.
even if you don't feel stressed it can still affect you physically.
look up "dealing with panic attacks" on the net as their is a good web site but cant remember its name.
also go to your chemist for some calming remedy's to take, and lavender oil to put in your bath or on your pillow.
Could be Costochondritis, inflammation of the rib joints and cartilage. Are the ribs on your left side sore to touch? What about the area on your chest wall, especially upper? If there is pain on palpation of these areas, then you probably have Costochondritis. It should go away after a few weeks, but can become chronic. Good luck, and if the pain persists, go back to the doctor and ask about this condition.
