good for you! however, you probably should have started with less pushups and gone for quality not quantity.

pop some advil and ice your arm. massage it.
good luck.

get a life.

soak it in warm water

you are not supposed to start out with more than you can handle in terms of exercise it will take time you probably strained a muscle

Icey hot its a creme and it works wonders

try advil

use a hot pad to loosen it up and then stretch it out then ice it.

ice baby

I would think that your muscle has been pulled or torn...resulting in a terrible pain. I would soak the arm in warm water and dont use it as much until the pain goes away. also put an ice pack on it if it begins to hurt and if it doesnt go away go to the Doctors.

Maybe you pulled a muscle while doing the push-ups, just let the muscle rest a while.

Try some bio freeze to help out. Just don't quit using it and let it stiff.

Take some Tylenol and a hot bath. You'll have to be patient and give your body time to heal.

its most likely because your right arm works harder
you are probably a righty
i think it would be a great idea to look for a massage therapist in the area

you over did it--it probably felt fine doing so but as usual if you are just starting again you have to go slow and work up ..try to rest it and use a heating pad--tylenol--wait a couple of days it will wear off..feel better..

Try an OTC anti inflammatory like Advil (ibuprofen) - Tylenol does not have anti inflammatory properties - and apply heat.

vitamin I ((ibuprofen) Do not apply heat for 24 hours.

Some ibuprofen will help if taken on a regular basis. You have pushed your muscles beyond their capacity and now they are complaining. Soaking in a hot bathtub will also loosen up the tight muscles. Let them heal before going overboard again on the exercises.

Well , by your title question, I can see your having more promblems then just your " ARE" pain.......But the problem is simple. Drop a brick on your right foot and you will no longer worry about the " ARE" problem.....

Use icy hot or tiger balm or any muscle heating creme. Use a small amount and massage it gently into the muscle. It will burn a little on the surface but it will end up feeling a lot better on the inside.
