call my friends who live in different time zones

I do what i'm doing now... answer other people's questions, listen to my iPod, and text people :D it's not advisable for ppl who actually want to sleep, but it keeps me occupied!

If you're looking for advice on how to get to sleep, then i'd say put on some classical music (unless ur into that kind of thing and beethoven makes u wanna get up and dance...) and try to clear your mind.

or
Play a videogame
or
Just mastrubate, get tired and go to sleep

I get on yahoo answers and answer as many question s they allow me to

Rent a movie or two during the day and save it for the long night.

Sit and answer questions for a few...then go hit it at my favorite local place.

What you can do if you can't sleep is watch t.v. Believe me when you start to watch t.v you will start to fall asleep.

Well if you want to sleep, imagine the happiest scenario possible, that's what I do. If you like playing a sport (for example, soccer) imagine you being the world's greatest soccer player, and imagine every goal you score in the championship game.

That is the only thing I can do to get myself to go to sleep! I usually imagine myself winning the horse show, sinc that is my sport. If I don;t imagine something good, I end up getting really hyper or freaked out about what is going to hapen the next day, like all the chores I hav t do in the morning.

watch a soothing movie, read a good book

Take a couple of those 'over the counter' sleeping pills, then read a book or magazine for awhile and you'll fall asleep fast.
If you have nothing to do during the days, sign up for some interesting classes at your local community college.

watch T.V. or something doze off and think happy thoughts drink some tea or warm milk and just relax!!!

Exercise your mind with an intellectually stimulating activity! Exercising your mind is like exercising your body. If you challenge it enough it will get tired....and you might learn something new along the way! If that doesn't work try taking 50mg of diphenhydramine(Benadryl), the active ingredient in most over-the-counter sleep aids(and its generic is much more inexpensive). Hope you sleep well.
