What can cause Right shoulder pain radiating down arm and hand with pins and nee!

Question: I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia 12 years ago, which I am now on Lyrica for. I have had Carpel tunnel surgery on both wrists, 10 years ago.

2 months ago I started in pins and needles feeling in my right arm and hand. Then I have this pain in my back near my scapula. The pain radiates up to my shoulder and all the way down my right arm. No matter what I am doing or position I have it in the pain is constant and the pins and needles feeling comes and goes as I move around. It feels as if someone is constantly pushing on my back. Now over the past few day, I am having the pins and needles feeling in my left foot. Odd I know, because of the different sides.

Any Ideas???? I am under the care of an internist and a rheumatologist, but we are at the beginning stages of exploring these new problems. I had xrays of my neck and shoulders and found nothing there.

Thank you

it sounds like you are getting good care. it could be i pinched nerve. i am not a doctor so go with the pro's.

Sounds like you may have a problem with a cervical disc. The symptoms you describe are classic for a herniated cervical disc-a large one can cause these sensations in the feet also. It took an MRI to diagnose mine. Be sure to explore non-surgical alternative with your neurosurgeon as well. Mine wasn't so bad, and with exercise, the symptoms eventually went away.

It's the bracia <sp?> (nerve) pinched between the 2nd & 3rd ribs. There are stretches you can do to relieve this ... chiropractic adjustments too.
