Help please. Is there a good way to feel rested?!

Question: I have hours of homework, play sports, do clubs, and have other obligations. Therefore, my hours of sleep are severely limited. Are there any good, HEALTHY ways for me to feel more rested without increasing my sleep? I average between 5 1/2 and 6 hours a night.

This idea is generally shunned by alot of people (myself included in the past). You can purchase a yoga dvd for only $15. The tip is to take it seriously. I first bought it when i was going through a tough time, always feeling lethargic and in a bad mood. It only goes for 25mins and its actually very good. When it finished i felt as though I was on a natural high and my body felt so relaxed. I sleep like a baby if i do it in the evening, and find i dont need as much sleep. It works because after a busy day it helps you mind and body to relax. Also a banana smoothie about an hour before bed and try not to eat 4hrs before you go to bed.
It took me about 3 days to take the dvd seriously, and trust me it works. Hope this has helped you. Good luck with the study.

Have you tried guided meditation? I have some on my iPod that really help me get to sleep and I feel more rested in the morning. It also helps me to destress at the end of the day... I never realized how much physical tension I had until I started doing the meditations... Contact me if you'd like more info.
