Is it normal to be slightly scared when you are getting your piercings done.?!

Question: I just recently got both of my ears pierced on Friday. Even though I have had it done before, previous circumstances required me to take them both out.

As I was sitting on the piercers table there was still a nagging fear even though I knew what to expect. I find the after care more painful then the actual piercing itself.

I did my own piercings myself. I did all 7 of my piercings, the only one I had trouble with was my belly button. None of them got infected, as I was probably over-cautious. I was scared of each one even though I was doing it myself. There aren't too many people who enjoy the pain, just the results.
peace

Yes if your scared of pain.

it's absolutely normal. even if you've had it done before, it's still a natural reaction to feel fear when someone is about to jab you with something sharp.

yes especially if you are afraid of shots

I would be more worried about scarred than scared.

I'm 56 and I'm still scared of shots or piercings but it is always far worse in your head than when it really happens so try to relax
