Is my knee Fractured?.?!

Question: Was playing football in the evening and when i started running for a tackle I landed on my left leg like straight and it felt like my knee like when up to upper leg. I fell on the ground and felt like I broke my knee but i was able to move my knee back and forth. When i got up and started walking on it, it felt like my knee was touching another bone, it made like a little click sound can barely hear it but i can feel it. I'm in great pain, i can barely walk. Thinking of seeing the doctor. Could my knee be fractured or just gonna be swollen the next day and last for good week till my knee heals?. Please answer - Question may be kinda weird to read ( only had 5 mins to type it and come up of the stuff that happend ) but please answer the best you can.

- Thank you.

I don't think you fractured your knee, I fractured mine and let me telling you, there is no way you can walk on it. However you could have partially dislocated, hyperextended, sprained, strained, tore ligaments or cartlidge. If you are having extreme difficulty walking, it is a sign of more than a tweek. I have had 4 surgeries on my knee, they are nothing to take lightly. go have an x-ray. In the mean time R.I.C.E. aka Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevate, until you see a dr. Frozen peas or corn work great as ice packs!!

I would go to the docs asap you cold be damaging it more you may have chipped the bone or a hairline fracture. Either way better to be safe than sorry.

idk but i think you should consult a doctor.

Ya you should deffinately go see a doctor for an x-ray. I'm thinking that you might have torn some ligaments which is making the knee unstabble(feeling like it is bone on bone). They might send you for an MRI if they don't see what they want out of the x-ray and think there is more. But deffinately go see a doctor
