Am I am germ-phobic?!

Question: Ok do you think I am germ-phobic or just sensible? I wash my hands after using an ATM or pushing a shopping cart, and I try to avoid touching door handles on public toilets etc. Also I will not prepare ANY food without washing my hands first and I will never swim in public swimming pools. Am I germ-phobic or not? Thanks guys,

I do not think you are a germ-phobic. Those are some of the most contaminated places/things. You are just being smart and don't let anyone make you feel wrong about being so.

  • Seems normal.

i think that washing your hands and all that is just healthy. but i swim in public swimming pools, and thats totally fine. :)

    No, just smart!

No, you're normal, it's just that not everyone does what they're supposed to do or they're just not as health-conscience. You're normal.

If you are, I am too. I always carry that hand sanitizer with me too.

No, that's the norm. I do all of the above, but I carry hand wipes everywhere I go.

a little mainly the no swimming in public thing

i think your very very close to being paranoid bout urself stop worring!! does it really matter anyway but i can understand the washing u hands..

maybe a bit of a clean freak but germophobe only if the thought of shaking hands repulses you....and you feel a need to run and hide when someone sneezes when your in the same area....then you would be classified...

i think its bein more mature n understand wts goin around u.
    kep on wt u doin?

ya that seems normal keeping yourself safe if u were germ-phobic u would be wasing your hands 8times in a row after using the toilet doing all that stuff

I think you are nothing but sensible. That is the perfect example of a normal person. Swimming in public pools can be dangerous because there may be an umpteenth number of germs. I don't think you are overreacting - it's completely normal.

    Happy New Year!

kinda, only of you think you worry so much

When you start to be annoying for the others, you could be so

But washing hands before eat or prepare food, befopre and after toilet, and after excesive money contact, is really basic on personal higiene

I wash my hands often, and try to not touch obviously germ sources things like door handles on bathrooms, but the thing you have to do, is not to swoh you're so to the others so they don't note that on you so much.that's it, bout I think you're doing right things

here in my country there are on the radio an ad that says "A child dies every .... # minutes beacuse of diarrea, because someone doesn't wash their hands after toilet".. a truth.. not nice to hear...but truth

You are NOT germ-aphobic. There ought to be more people like you around. I would call you sensibly sanitary. And that is a GOOD thing. It's disgusting the way lots of people are these days....-shivers thinking back to a trip to a buffet restaurant-

I hate to shake hands with a person with sweaty palms. I always wash my hands afterwards. I've recently had thoughts regarding the swimming pool too. I mean, peoples sweat, genitals, oils, dandruff, mucous, blood and saliva are all in the same water with me. Makes you think.

I'm exactly the same, lol. And nothing is wrong with being cautious of germs.
I wish more people were like that though...I know lots of us wouldn't be getting the flu, and other sicknesses as well. That would definitely be nice.
    Don't worry, you're perfectly normal!

    HAPPY NEW YEAR!

slightly.. but not too weird.. too weird would be that you wouldn't do things at all.. kind of like swimming pool.. but kids piss in there.. so i understand

I wash my hands before I cook anything, but that's about it. When I worked as a mechanic; really filthy work, it seemed like no one ever got sick. Office workers are always getting sick.

Definitley Sensible , My mom also does all that stuff and she barely gets a sickness.

    Woot 2 points!
