Approximate healing times for most lip piercings are between 6-8 weeks. After this time, some scar tissue may be present, but the fistula is normally fully developed and healed. After taking the piercing out, it will heal use a saline solution for about a month after taking out piercing to insure there will be no infection.

Basic aftercare for most lip piercings would consist of saline soaks 2-3 times daily. Soak the wound for 3-5 minutes with a weak saline solution to soften any blood and lymph discharge attached to the jewellery. Remove all excess matter using a cotton bud/Q tip. After this, slowly turn the jewellery through the piercing, rinsing with saline solution to flush the inside of the wound and remove any matter remaining in and around the piercing.

Alcohol-free mouthwash can also be used after meals to help remove debris and flush the piercing, and is recommended by some practitioners.

Initial jewellery should be either a labret stud (flat-backed barbell) or a ball closure ring, made of surgical stainless steel, implant-grade titanium or similar lightweight and inate metal.

If you plan to stretch your piercing, you should wait until there is no scar tissue present (usually around 2 months) before you start up-sizing. Failure to do so can result in trauma to the area, since scar tissue does not stretch as easily as tissue.

Overall, lip piercings are easy and quick to heal considering proper aftercare and common sense is adhered to.

Put a little Hydrogen Peroxide on it with a q tip. It will heal it and stop the bleeding. Do this several times a day till it heals.

WHY THE H. WOULD YOU DO SUCH A NASTY THING????

Yuck Yuck Yuck!!!!!!!!!
