Greetings: A cold sore is a form of the herpes simplex virus. There is little or nothing you can do to make it go away. Just as with any strain of the herpes virus you will "break-out" from time to time. What ever you can do to relieve discomfort do, ie: warm compresses, ice, What is commonly called shingles is another strain of herpes simplex. Sadly it appears it will have to run it's course. If you find something that works, go to your patent office, as you will be worth a lot of money. Sorry I wasn't much help. all the best in the new year John t
Make ginger and onion juice on you lip, it might help.
my brother gets cold sores all the time and he figured out that putting ice on it right when you start to feel it stops it from coming
Drink orange juice. Try not to let it touch your sore. Drink plenty of water. Sorry, try camphor oil, available at your pharmacist.

My doctor gave me bactroban. If I put it on while feeling it come on, it stops it immediately. If I don't catch it in time, it goes away in an amazingly short time.

Go to the Drug Store and get some Blistex. Keep generously dabbing it on and your fever blister shouldn't get any bigger and it will dry up. Try not to lick your lips !!!!
Go to your local drug store ex. Walgreens and ask a representive for a over the counter medicine i see some good ones on the t.v.
A steptic pencil , if they still make them. It was used for razor cuts, i found it good for cold sores,
