In the morning why does this happen?!

Question: i use the qtip everyday to clean my ears in the morning because these oily wax stuff comes out of it and it gives me this tingly feeling prompting me to use a q tip. iheard using a qtip is bad because it pushes the wax deeper in the ear, and it can make me deaf... or hurt my ear, well then whats the alternative... and whats the deal with the oily wax coming out of my ears everday? or are they just water from the shower the day before?

thanks!

We all get wax (aka cerumen) in our ears. It serves several functions, including lubricating the ear. I aint a big fan of q-tips myself. When you are in the shower and you shampoo your hair, with some shampoo lather in your finger tips, rub your pinky in your ear canal and let water fall into it. Then, tilt your head so that the water stays in your ear for like 5 seconds and turn your head opposite way to remove the water. Also, get regular bathing soap and gently rub your external ear; it will help wash out your ear wax. I suggest you do this only once or twice a week. You dont want your ears to be too dry from lack of wax. You should ask your doctor for recommendations.

The wax in your ears is to protect your eardrum . . . and cleaning them everyday with a Q-tip can cause problems if your not careful. . .it could be excess water. . maybe use a Q-tip every other day. .

It's very likely just earwax mixed with water.
As for the alternative go to your local drug store and find a bulb. Ask somebody there for help, I'm not exactly sure what it's called. But basically you fill the bulb with water and squeeze it into your ear. This is much safer as it only dislodges the excess wax and you have no chance of puncturing something important!

Greetings: The rule of thumb is never, ever put anything in your ears smaller than your elbow, the danger being a perforated ear drum. See your family Doctor, and have your ears syringed from time to time, I go every 3 months or so. If you work in an area that is dusty or has a lot of air borne particles you will produce more wax.In the future please go easy with the Q-Tips. Good luck John t

oily wax from ears are normal... they are protective against infections serves as lubricants to the ear... just as long as you clean your eardome (not the canal) everything will be alright.

never stick anything into the ear. the wax is just buildup coming out of your ear, you may just have an overproduction of wax in your ears. Clean with a wet washcloth every day, see an ENT for cleaning. Sometimes when you shampoo your hair the excess shampoo and water getting into the ear is enough to sort of "rinse" the ear canal, but sticking thing into the ear can cause either a perforated eardrum, or clog the ear causing you to really need to see a ENT doctor.
