I would say that due to the extra heat in your country that its probally that you body is dehydrated. I would suggest drink alot more water during the day and when you sleep at night your mouth wont dry out as much.
However if you smoke cigaretts or drink liqour then that could cause it too.

Maybe sleeping with the mouth open??

Addition: Also, some medications can cause this.

u may breath thru your mouth when u sllep. and if you have the heat on in your house that also will make you'r mouth dry! happy 2008. :)

Maybe your room is dry. Try getting a humidifier:)

That happens to me all the time. I guess it has to do with the dry air in the room. Humidifier would help.. I woke up with my mouth dry and my throat hurt also. Usually I have a bottle of water when I wake up and I take a sip and go back to sleep. Guess we both sleep with our mouths open who knows? LOL

Probably because of the heat and sleeping with your mouth open, you could try sleeping with a light damp cloth over your face. Works for my pap.

leon, whatya doin down there?i've been having the sme problem, got a humidifer,to put some moisture in the air, help me

get a humidifier it will stop

Your Dehydrated. This used to happen to me alot. Its great if when your settling down for a sleep, put some water in a bottle, or something more Thirst-Quenching, And when you wake up, slowly drink a bit of it. Drink it untill its finished- you dont have to drink it all in one go, but it helps. after a while you will have more water and liquid in your system and your dry mouth will go. another way is to not swallow your siliva, and wash it round your mouth. it sounds disgusting, but it works.
