this can be very dangerous. there are been people who have choked to death on their own vomit. have this evaluated by your physician as soon as you can. please do / take this warning seriously and see the Doc .

Do you go to sleep drunk?

Probably Sleep Apnea.
wake up choking but not vomiting sometimes?
sleep apnea happens when your throat collapses & you stop breathing for short periods of time. Many people notice the wake/vomit thing if they don't have someone telling them they do this. A machine called a CPAP keeps the airway open & this stops. You would feel way better & not be tired all the time too.
Could also be acid reflux, especially if you take pills before going to bed. Your dr can prescribe Prilosec to help.
Check this site> http://www.webmd.com/ for more possibilities. Check your symptoms or use the links for more info. Hope this helps.

could be severe acid reflux, or a hiatal hernia. Do you sleep laying flat? People with the above issues should sleep with the head elevated to keep food from comming up through the esophagus (because of a hiatal hernia) Try taking an antiacid medication like pepsid before going to sleep, and prop yourself up on several pillows. You should really see a doctor.... good lluck!

There are many reasons this may happen. Indigestion, sleeping with a full stomach, alcohol intake, throat collapse.

If the problem is consistent then you should visit your family doctor. Try sleeping with an extra pillow under your head to avoid chocking on the vomit. It can be dangerous if not looked after.

Alcohol poisoning can cause it, as well as some forms of epilepsy (although most forms of this that cause night-time vomiting are childhood disorders). Maybe you should get a check-up just to make sure everything is in working order!

This might be side effects to your depression, I suggest going to see your GP. x
