Nagging sensation in back and arm?!

Question: I have this area of discomfort on myback. It initially started around the lower right shoulder blade area. I have had this discomfort for many years and get massages frequently. The massages I get are helpful, and very intense: they are deep tissue and usually I need so much pressure that some therapists have broken into a sweat when massaging me. However, the "pain" has not gone away. In fact, there are times when it is located by my ribcage (near my armpit) and travels to my elbow. I have tried stretching and more massage therapy, but it still nags me. It's a sensation hard to describe; it's not painful like I pulled a muscle, but I can feel something there. Also, it travels around the right side of my upper back when I am getting massaged, and even though the massages I get are seriously intense (they can hurt), they seem to help bring the tension to the surface so it gets rubbed. Massage therapists have called this a pressure point? Is this true or what else could it be?

Go see an Orthopedic doctor just to make sure it isn't something massage is not good for.

you;re probably having a Thoracic Outlet Syndrome (TOS) wherein a nerve is impinged between a muscle it passes through... most probably your pectoralis minor... try stretching your pecs... if that does not work try physical therapy. they can really help you with that not just a massage therapist.
