First Aid Kit?!
Question: Me and my family (my husband and 15 year old son) will be moving soon from New York state to Oklahoma, we will be driving and Im trying to put together a well equipped first aid kit to use while we are on the road... what should I include in it?

Why don't you buy a prepacked one from Johnson & Johnson at your local Walgreens or CVS? If not, of course you need bandages but also some creams, aspirin, bug stuff, tweezers, wrap, sports tape.
bandaids, peroxide, gauze, tape, Qtips, antibiotic ointment, antifungal ointment, cortisone cream. Hand sanitizer. Also, latex gloves if you will be treating anyone with communicable diseases.
i agree with j ville.... y dont you just take the plastic ones out and then put some other ones in??? kind of a no brainer...... theyre cheap enough...
I would include a thermometer, fever reducer such as Tylenol, bandages, neosporin, peroxide, peptobismol. Have a safe trip.
you could do several thing, some prepackaged med kits come with cloth band aids. What you can do is make your OWN med kit. the things you'll need are gause,achol,band aids, ACE bandage, neasporin (sp) or something similar, gloves I'd advise non latx, a ice pack that you can break and it'll get cold.
I'd put a lot of band aids in you never can have more than enough.
here are some good ideas: band-aids, tape, hand sanittzer, spare clothes, food, bottled water, any pets going? take spare stuff for them, spare fuses for the car, spare tire, lug wrench, CELL PHONE, road maps, toys for the kids to play with while on the road,electrical tape, gas can.... GOOD LUCK!
