What is the best way to quit smoking?!

Question: Me and my significant other are planning on quitting smokig (working on our last pack) and we have tried this before. He is going to go on the patch and keep busy. I'm wanting to go cold turkey like i have before but I get terrible mood swings. I'm not op to take pills or anything like that (i.e. the patch) because I rarely resort to even pain pills unless it gets bad. What is the best way to quit smoking for someone who is trying to keep as close to natural hinders and things like that. All info~I have been smoking for nearly 6 years now (going on 22 in April) I'm allergic to nothing that I know of. I get anxious and moody easy (even before I started smoking). Please answer thanks much. :)

I stopped in 1978 after about 25 years of smoking.
I went cold turkey and didn't really have much of
a problem with it.

I believe the biggest thing is to really be commited
to it and to be quitting because it's really what YOU
want to do. It's hard to quit to please somebody
else.

Mutual support will be very important for you both.
If you get irritable go for a walk or something.

Good luck to you both.

There should be some centre which assist quit smoking by taking some kind of sweets when urge to smoke.

lung cancer

My husband quit smoking after 30 years using Chantix. I know you said you don't want to take pills, but if you quit smoking it might be worth it to take a pill for a few months.

Try talking to your doctor about your anxiety.
