It is best to sleep for 6-8 hrs daily (especially at younger ages 8 hrs.) to remain active and fresh. It has countless benefits like concentration level increases, it also brings more glow on your face, keeps you away from heart diseases, reduces stress, helps in keeping one fit, gets rid of stress and lets body and mind the deserved rest needed, helps in improving memory and eyesight.
Overall a good sound sleep of atleast 7 hrs is a must.....though sleeping too much can also be harmul so take care of your sleep and donot compromise on it.
The point is that sleeping for 5 hrs is also fine and doesnot have any risks or harms but sleeping for more can help you keep your mind and body in a better state.

8 hours of sleep will be always good for you

Latest research: 7 hours for men, 7 1/2 for women is best.

it's Bad , the side effects are ,{ some of them} are getting sick, if you keep doing that you might die { well i think that was one of them} sorry if i scare you

If you're 12 then you need about 10 hours of sleep.

I'm almost 14 and I run on 6...I always feel horrible in the mornings so I better get some more as well.

i'd be thrilled to get that much. the side effects depend on if this is enough for your body and mind or not. for some , it is enough / others require more. i can tell you that if it's not enough you will be able to hold up to it for long time and be miserable. i haven't slept a three or four hours solid in five years. i'm miserable / always feel tired / rundown /exhausted. i've tried multiple prescriptions and little of it really works / there are side effects.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...
no i dont think they're are too many side affects, only dark circles around eyes, feeling drowsy, getting sick(but not life threathing) well i hope i help!

The amount of sleep people need varies. If you feel rested after 5 hours than that may be right for you. Just give your body the rest you feel it needs. As soon as you become a teenager no way you'll only sleep 5 hours a night. This is no problem honey, don't trip.
