Does peanut butter help a bee sting?!

Question: we have to know

Answers: we have to know

hahaha. No it doesn't. Where did you hear this?

Not to my knowledge. I have never heard of that remedy. I have heard of mud and a paste of water and meat tenderizer but not PB.

I haven't found a site that recommends it as treatment, but an icepack should work after you pull out the stinger, and you could always try PB. My mom would use baking soda back in the day, lol

I don't think so
Baking soda and water works

The best thing to use is Ice it and then take Benedryl. Peanut butter in not good for a bee sting because people can be allergic to the peanut butter and they can react to it really bad.
I'm allergic to bees and I have been told to use Benedryl and ice the sting area.

No new one on me

Peanuts do not have any properties that could or would sooth a sting.

The other thing is the danger of applying peanut butter to a sting, to someone who is allergic to peanuts, so don't risk it.

The correct treatment of a bee, wasp or hornet sting is;
Scrap the barb out immediately and apply a wrapped ice pack to the site of the sting, and if any signs of swelling around the face, mouth, throat or breathing difficulties start to occur then call an ambulance.
