Hurt chest...what could it be?!

Question: this afternoon my back was hurting and felt like it needed popped so i asked my bf to pop it. he stood behind me and i crossed my arms over my chest and he lifted and pulled back. nothing happend so i lowered my arms a little and he tried again. it popped and my back felt better but my chest burst with pain. at first i thought it was just cause he put pressure on it, but it never went away. it hurt to try and lay down or bend over. about 45 mins later it started to hurt when i walked or talk/breathed loud. what could it be? pulled muscle? seperated ribs from sternum? i didnt hear any pop as in a bone breaking...could it still be fractured tho? it hasnt bruised or anything yet that i have noticed. it hurts pretty bad, if it still hurts tommorrow ill go to the dr. so i thought i would see what everyone else thought first.

there are muscles in between your ribs - intercostals - you probably pulled one.

im not sure, but im gonna take a shot in the dark and say in might be a lung muscle
