Medical queston... lump in throat?!

Question: For the past 4weeks ive been suffering with a on and off lump feeling in my throat. It feels like there's a lump stuck in my throat. It causes me no pain at all. Its just very annoying and sometimes when I work myself up it gets worse, almost like i cant breathe, but no pain. Im getting very worried now as someone suggested to me it could be cancer... Does/Has anyone suffered from this or just some advice :-S thank-you

My mother has had two throat surgeries to remove cysts in her throat. Luckily, they were not cancerous but they grew very large over time. They started out small and then grew larger. She also started waking thru the night feeling like she could not breathe. You should definitely see a ear, nose, and throat doctor. It could be something minor but it could also be life threatening so I would see a doctor as soon as possible. The doctor can look inside your throat with a camera device that is not painful or uncomfortable at all!

if you're so worried you should go to the doctor.

Where is this lump you feel located? Could this be the inflamed gland on the side of your neck? And is it only one gland that hurts?
You know that these glands (the lymph nodes) are located on both sides of the neck, under the jaw and behind the ears. They swell when you catch a cold or when your throat is sore. But of course, there could be some other reasons, such as injuries near the glands or when tumor or infection occurs in the mouth, head or neck.
Since you said the swollen gland has been present for a few months, you should immediately have it checked by your health professional. Normally, swollen lymph nodes return to their normal size within a few weeks. You have had gone to see the doctor much earlier, I hope everything will be okay.

OR, it could just totally be like stress. That happens to me when i get stressed out or i cry and try to stop crying. It could be above, but if it is an actual lump, then yout shud check into it, but if it is just a feeling, its normal.

hope everythings ok

It is really a lump in your throat you can see? It is in your throat or on your neck?

Or are you really sad? Sometimes when you are sad, it feels like there is something in your throat.
