Does Lysol REALLY kill up to 99.9% germs and viruses as it claims it does?!

Question: My wife has the flu and I don't want the kids and I to get it. So I've been spraying Lysol throughout the house. Does it really work?

Read the fine print:

"*** Sanitizes: Kills 99.9% of Staphylococcus aureus (Staph) and Influenza A Virus (New Caledonia/20/99) on hard, non-porous surfaces in 30 seconds."

I dunno but I'd guess that 0.1% that didn't get killed would have just as good of a chance of making you sick too.

I find it hard to believe, and anyway, what about the other .1%? lol
Sorry, but I think that theyre exhaggerating, is it possible to actually count how much as every environment is different.

And then..., there is the little matter of the words 'up to'...

Yes, unfortunately flu germs are in that .1%.

I read somewhere that using disinfectants and antibacterial soaps actually does not help you stay any healthier at all. People who obsessively wash their hands 500 times a day get sick just as often as people who only wash 4 or 5 times a day.

i guess it does, but bleach cleans everything better.
put some in a spray bottle and use it on the door knobs and counter tops.
make sure everyone washes their hands well. that's where most germs come from.
