Hi, im getting a nose job also done at the end of this month hopefully and my plastic surgeon said that if you have a medical excuse or if you broke it, it can be covered by insurance pretty easy. I have trouble breathing from it cuz i was born with cleft palate but thats a whole different story.
(Im16)

If your really feel that bad about it, then you have a right to have surgery. I hope everything works out fine.

Good Luck, Happy New Year

you should consult your doctor about your options as a 17 year old.

if you have enough money then go for it.

I think that of the many people I have met that have had plastic surgery at a young age usually regret it. At this point in your life all your worried about right now is looking good and not the future. Some times bumps like thoes can be nothing but a charater trait the people sometimes thing is beautiful. If it really bothers you though you may want to look into surgery.

If you really feel that a nose job would be best,go for it. I would suggest talking to your parents/guardian and the doctor. Make sure it is what you want to do before you get yourself into it. you also need to make sure you have the money in-order to do it. you will probably need to do quite a bit of research to find the right place to get it done. Hope it helped and email me if you need anymore help.

What do your parents think?
If they'll allow it then do it.

Youre lucky if you have the opportunity, I too have a nose bump...its not as big as you make yours out to be but i most def. want a nose job when im 18.

I had one when I was 16, but faced a lot of backlash from well meaning people who were afraid I'd be putting myself in danger. It was something I thought long and hard about, though, so I went through with my decision. I now have more confidence and I'm really glad I did what I felt was right. If you research it, think for a long time about it, and still decide it's what you want to do, don't let anyone stop you. People told me I was vain and all sorts of things, but those same people not only had nice noses, they spent hours in front of the mirror, hundreds on name brand clothes, and plenty of time in the nail salon. Do what you feel, this is your life! Find a good surgeon and make sure she or he is certified by the Board of Plastic Surgeons. This is your life and face you're putting at risk!

I think rhinoplasty is a bit extreme at this age. And I am not certain if many parents would approve at 17. Your body is still changing, and it may still be healing from the injury. Talk to your doctor about it...and your parents. Also, a psychologist may help you learn other ways to boost your confidence than plastic surgery.
