Has anyone tried the medicine Lyrica for nerve pain?!
Question: I have this annoying nerve pain that my doctor once told me is sciatica. I have not sought up therapy for it yet. I am going to make an appointment with a neurologist tomorrow. I have heard that Lyrica helps nerve pain. Has anyone tried this?

Have you had any investigations as to why you have sciatica? The Doc once told you? Anyway I am on Lyrica what 2 years now find it good, but not for Sciatica! Sciatica is caused when the Sciatic Nerve is trapped or impinged, could be by a disc, too much muscle, or as it weaves through the hip joint. It is like trapping your finger in a door! Ouch! Lyrica is for when the nerve misfires. When it feels like you have trapped your finger in the door, but you are in bed fast asleep. Two different forms of pain, two different reasons. Good Luck

Lyrica is the stronger cousin to Neurontin for nerve relief. It takes the body longer to get used to it (up to three weeks) and longer to come down from it but, it's suppose to be better. It made me tired and listless, slow. Maybe it was just me at the time but, the $240.00 a month for the script ? I take neurontin, it seems to be as good.
