Why do burns hurt later?!
Question: i was fishing at night and we had a lantern and i touched it and i burnt my finger and i then put it in water for like 5 minutes and then it stoped hurting and then 30 minutes later it started hurting bad again and i then i would need to touch a cool surface, but it would stop hurting and then start hurting really bad 30 mintues later and would continue doing that all night, why does it do this? and how can i make it not do that?

when you get a burn the nerves on the skin become cautarized and therefore you do not feel it as much because your nerve endings are dead, once your body starts to repair the burn and make new nerve endings it starts to hurt
