Severe neck pain, headache and swollen occipital lymph nodes...?!

Question: About 10 days ago I woke up in the middle of the night with some neck pain. I thought I had just slept on it wrong. But it has gotten worse, not better. Now I have severe neck/head pain where the base of my skull meets my neck, the lymph nodes that are there feel swollen and are VERY painful even when I apply light pressure. This pain has been giving me headaches, mostly migraines every day. I have a Dr. appt. later today but I want to see if anyone has had anything like this or know what it might be. I have to go to a military Dr. who is actually just a physicians assistant. While I like him for everyday stuff, none of them are really good with wierd things and I'd like to go in with some ideas of what it might be.

I have the SAME problem. I woke up yesterday morning in pain and by the end of the day I was crying. I took 5 extra strength Tylenols (500 mg's each) and 4 Excedrins (spell?) and it barely helped. I even used a hot pack. This morning at 5:30 am I coudn't get out of bed to get more meds. my fiance had to help me. The pain has gone into my left shoulder and into my upper back. I'm also going to the doctors but I'm sure he won't be able to help much other than give me pain pills.
If you figure something out, let me know, maybe we have the same thing...?

Can you touch your chin to your chest? If not, maybe it's spinal meningitis. Whatever it is, the doctor needs to treat you.

it's a possibility of cancer ne of my friends aunties had that happen and was diagnosed with cancer later on but survived it :) or if your period is coming up it could just be a severe reaction or it could be an allergic reaction

Praying to God can surely help for he can even wake up a dead. Scientifically, those pains are interrelated to other sickness like stress and anxieties. A specialist doctor (Neurologist, EENT) can help.
