Punched in the side of the face.....?!

Question: About a month ago I got punched in the side of the face. When it happened, it was swollen about the size of a golf ball. I had a huge black eye for about 2 weeks. Now, a lil over a month later, there is still a slight bump (you can feel it if you run your finger over it) and still very tender in spots. What could it be?

Sounds like you had a broken bone.

it can either be hardened scar tissue or calcification of your bone
