I am quite scared?!

Question: It has been a couple of days now and has happened before, when i turn my head it feels like i have needles and pins in my lips, when i bend down it is the same thing and when i suddenly turn around to look at something i feel quite strange, like needles and pins moving down my face. Anybody knows what it could be. I have phoned quite a few times to see the Gp but it is impossible getting an appointment always booked full.

i think the reason why most of us are on here is because we can NEVER SEE THE DOCTOR!!

dont let them put you off seeing someone, it's your right, it's why you pay taxes.

just go to the doctors and say you will sit in the waiting room until someone can see you. it could be serious because it's really sounds like something is not right in your neck, and you dont want it getting worse.

good luck!

It sounds like you have a disc in your neck out of place that is pressing on a nerve.

Don't book your summer holiday just yet

I'm not a doctor or anything but if I were you I'd go into the hospital becuase it sounds like it could be serious

if in doubt call the NHS direct.

sounds like a bit of nerve damage or pinched disc. This is definitely cause to get to your health care professional.
If you can't get to see your GP then I would go to a walk in clinic or emergency. This is not something to fool with, you have a swelling or something is out of place and could possibly cause you permanent damage.
Good luck with that.

Go to A&E, say you're worried its a stroke or something. You'll have more chance being treated there than getting an appointment with your GP...who would probably just say 'see if it goes away'.

This is a bit of a sore point with me...I haven't decided if that pun was intended or not.

ring your gp and dont take no for an answer,if they keep on saying that they have no appointments, ask to make an appointment with the practice manager,if you allow these jobsworth receptionists to get away with it,u wont ever get to see a doctor,ps you can go to a.and.e too you know.

is it taxable

you could hav a slipped disk or pulled a muscle.i used to get what u describe and they were anxiety attacks got them for no reason sometimes.im not sure where your from but in the uk you can ring up the doctors when its just opened and see if theres any cancellations or a emergency slot.

If this problem has persisted for two days go to a&e at your hospital they may recomend you for a ct scan, going to your doctor first he or she may most likely refer you to them for the same thing so it could be a lot quicker to go there in the first place. What do you think may have caused these symptoms in the first place, turning your head and moving your neck in normal motion may not have caused this problem, you could have suffered whip lash? without knowing it days before.

It sounds like a trapped nerve, make an appointment even if it means waiting a few days to see your Doctor.
