Knuckle Problem??!

Question: Short Story:

I was whacked on my fist (clenched) with a frozen dessert (rock hard been frozen for about a year), knuckles were red, and now 2 of the tendons (?) on top of the knuckles have moved over, one has moved a little, and still on top of the knuckle, and the other is almost into the grove between the knuckles.

Short of surgery, what can I do to fix it?

Also any long term damage if it stays the way it is (it doesn't hurt)

Well, If your knuckle does seem really messed up to you, then first (ironically enough) you need to ice it.

And it not hurting is no indicator.... When I went in to see my orthopedist for some bump that showed up on my wrist (unrelated), he said I had 2 torn ligaments and that they had been that way for atleast 2 or more months.... all the bones in my wrist were spaced weirdly, but everything worked fine....

So I wouldn't have even found out about it until the
Arthrithis kicks in and "renders your right wrist and hand totally unusable...."

(In other words....just keep an eye on it and see if it just goes away or not....)
