Chantix Help?!
Question: Has anyone had experience with extreme nausea when taking Chantix? Have you found anything that brings relief or minimizes the discomfort. I know I need to quit smoking and the drug is working on that. I don't know if I can handle being this sick for the next three months.
Please only serious answers, I already know that this sickness is probably not nearly as bad as lung cancer and it's treatment.

You could ask your doctor. I know of several people that has quit on the drug and they all suffered from the same side effects. You could try any type of hard minty candy that might settle your stomach or have you tried to take the medication with or with out food?
I agree with SB. A peppermint might stave off the nausea, also, a few grains of salt on your tongue when you feel that way might help. If this symptom is prolonged, though, I would strongly suggest consulting your physician. Be sure also to take your medication the same time each day to help your body get used to it.
