For your own protection, you need to advise your supervisor and see that an accident report is filed ASAP. That way if there are complications later, you will be covered by workman's compensation. You also should be paid for days you have to take off due to injury at work.

U should have. Workers' Compensation. DO IT ASAP. It is purple because you probably ruptured a blood vessel.

Well umm who does not like to get out of work? and you should listen to the Doc.

ice it, and report it, and see how u are tomorrow.

Stay home, call the office. Go to bed, when you wake up in the morning and if its still numb put some ice on it. Put some ice on it now. Better safe than sorry.

HR law defers with each state. Look into your state and see what the process is. Typically, if you were injured on the job, I'd recommend reporting it. here's why, imagine later on, you learned that the toe was broken. If you never made a report, how can you prove that you were injured on the job.

at my company in CA, i filed a report and used a sick day and provided HR with a doctor's note.

dont go to work hommy

Always fill in an injury on duty report, in time !...you could have any of many problems later, and it is illegal not to report all injuries.
If it is blue, take a small drill between your fingers and twist and turn lightly, and make a little hole in the centre of the dried blood thru the nail. It is not nearly as sore as leaving the pressure there.
