Reallly Really bad stomachache????? HELP!?!

Question: Ok,

Last night I could not go to sleep. I woke up (at like 1) and felt like I was going to seriously throw up. I had the worst stomachache I ever had in my LIFE!

It was like someone stabbed me there. I could barely breathe and move because it hurt sooooo bad. It lasted forever until I forced myself (with excruciating pain) to turn on my back. That helped alot and by 10 minutes I was feeling better but still kind of dizzy and off-balanced.

I went to school anyways because nobody could stay home with me (not that I asked- I always try to go to school no matter what) And I wasn't running a fever at any point in the night (I felt my forehead)

What could it have been? And how do I avoid it in the future?

That could have been an episode of gastric reflux. Strong acid escapes to above the stomach into the throat, and that gets raw from the acid. This might be a rare event for you, so the only thing that I would recommend would be a soothing compound based on bismuth subsalycilate, like Pepto-Bismol and keep it on hand in case this happens again. There are many things besides the stomach in that area that could cause pain,so it might be anything. Feeling your own forehead is not a reliable way to know if you have a fever. If the Pepto-Bismol works, then it is likely the stomach. If it were a stomach infection, I think that you would have more frequent discomfort. I think that if it were an air pocket, you would have figured it out yourself. Don't worry about upsetting your parents, it is their obligation to find out about things like this and take care of you.

you may have had something bad to eat and it didnt settle in your stomach

and believe it or not, you could have had a big gas pocket...those hurt so bad until you think you want to die
