When body is sore from strain, what is the best way to help it recover?!

Question: Is it complete rest & least movement (coz movement hurts)?
or moderate stretching exercises would be beneficial? The muscles are so sore they hurt when I touch or even lift a simple object or turn a certain way. I want to feel better soon.

If you just stain your muscles from over exercising or something like this,,,,than a long hot bath will help,,,but keep on what ever you are doing don't stop, just go lightly for awhile.
But you should see your DR. just to be safe that you did not do something else.
If it is just simple sore muscles you will feel better in three or four days. And some Tylenol for miner ache and pane will help also.
If your muscles are swollen, put some ice pack on for a few min at a time. Also do some stretches.
But see your DR. if you hurt yourself from lifting something heavy.

first see your doctor. ginger and vitamin d are very good for sore muscles. so are steam and time.

A long soak in the tub with epsom salts.

It depends on how you got sore. If it is from weight training and you are relatively new, the pain will go away in a few days. It is called DOMS and caused by lactic acid.

Stretching would help, but once the muscles cool down the soreness will come back.

If it is from something else, like a back injury, then you need to get to a doctor as it could be something else going on.

u should see your doctor to make sure it is just a sprain. relax and try not to move the part of the body thats effected. example: if its your foot or leg then avoid walking. ice helps too. i hurt my foot over a year ago. made the mistake of walking on it half the night after it happened. next day couldn't walk at all. kept it iced and wrapped. by the next week i was on my feet again.

rest
