Stubbed pinky toe :(?!
Question: I ran was in a hurry yesterday afternoon and stubbed my little toe on the plasitc part where the wheels are on a suitcase and it hurts like a B****! I am clumsey and stub my toes often, but it never makes me cry. This time, I was screaming and bawling because it hurt so bad. Then, I had to go to work, and I am a waitress... didn't work too well. Anyways, my the area around my little toe is throbbing still and it's bruised and swollen. There is also a cut, which may be from the plastic part of the suitcase (but it's in between my toes and I can't move my toe with out really really bad pain so I can't see it). I can't put any pressure on it either. So, I'm limping and can only use the inside of my right foot to walk (kind of awkward and uncomfortable). I'm just wondering if I should go see a doctor tomorrow, or just tough it out. Could it be broken? Is there anything to do about a broken pinky toe? Thanks.

Its possible that its broken but it could also just be sprained. and no theres nothing they can do for it, just ice it & try to take it easy, maybe even go get one of those ugly medical shoes from the local drug store bc thats what they will do at the doctor. aside from some really expensive xray.

the only thing the doctor will do is tape the toe to the one next to it - buddy tape. I broke my toe and just did this on my own. it will either get better fast or hurt for about 6 weeks. ice will help bring any swelling down. hope this helps.
the first two answerers are absolutely correct. save yourself the bills. i've been there myself. i'm horribly clumsy as well.
perhaps you could give that cut a little more attention. without a good cleaning you won't know if an infection is developing. it hurts but you need to keep it clean.
I stubbed my pinky toe really bad one time. I put some ice and wrapped it around my foot to make the pain go away. Mine hurt for a couple days and it was swollen but it eventully got better in less than a week and i could've sworn that i had broken it b/c it felt so bad. Just give it some time.
