Question: Yesterday on my bike the pedal went over my heel and ankle and it hurt like crazy so much I cried like crazy for hours but my mom said I would be fine.....it hurts more today...I put ice on it....every time I walk I have to walk pigeon toed....and it still hurts....I cant walk on my heel or ankle at all without wincing and moaning and crying out....my dad says its probably sprained and asked me if it felt like it was broken....I dont know what broken feels like...I have not broke any bone ever...

Should I ask to go to the doctor now or wait?

You probally hyper extened it. That happend to me not that long of go because I fell down the stairs and hyper extened my ankle and I was on cruches for like a few days becaus I couldn't walk on it. But I would go to the docter because if you don't care of it right it could come back to haunt you when you get older. Hope I helped.

You should definitely go to the doctor to have it checked to make sure nothing is seriously wrong with your ankle.

if you have insurance, go........if not wait a day or so & see if it gets better......i definitely would not go to er

You definitely have an injury. Temporary relive to reduce swelling, put ice on the injured part. Sometimes its hard to tell the pain between a very bad sprain and a hairline fracture unless it's a very bad fracture, in this case, you will not be able to even walk or move it. I suggest an x-ray be taken just to be certain. If it's hairline, no surgery is required, probbaly immobilised the foot and wait for the bone to heal in 4-6 weeks. In the meantime, put on an ankle guard and avoid unnecesary movement, rest.

When it comes to your ankle you should seek help every time. You can do life long damage to them that affects other joints in your legs because of problems with the way you walk.

Your best bet is to see a physiotherapist, they won't charge as much as a doctor and a doctor will probably refer you to a physio anyway. The physio may insist that you get an x-ray to make sure you don't have a break though.

Remember the RICE rule!
Rest
Ice
Compression
Elevation

see a doctor now!

If you broke it you would not be walking at all. Do not wait, fix it now because the longer you wait the harder it is to fix.

How to fix it instructions are posted here http://www.helium.com/tm/148271
