Why is my throat sore every morning when i wake up?!

Question: Im 14 and i've had the same problem since i was like 10.
EVERY morning i wake up with a sore throat, and I can't even talk because it hurts so much. It also hurts to swallow. Fortunately, it goes away as soon as I have breakfast, but it's still very annoying. How can I make it stop? Is it normal? Should I go to the doctor?
Thanks for all of your answers!

this is because your throat is dry. its dry because you sleep but you dont drink so when you have breakfast you consume liquid and it doesnt hurt anymore.
there is no reason for you to go to the doctor
it is normal
im not sure you can make it stop but try drinking water in the middle of the night if you wake up
also try to get a humidifier
i have the same problem-- just dont worry

Drink more water...sounds like you are dehydrated.

have been deep-throating a little to much or purposely throwing-up? if so that might be why?

Probaly lack of humidity in the air. It causes your throat to dry up and hurt. This used to happen to me a lot, espically in the winter. To solve put a humidifier in your room. I did and my throat never was sore again

When I have a sore throat when I wake up it's usually because I slept with my mouth open on a cold night. All the cold air I was breathing in dried out my throat and made it very sore.

Maybe your throat gets very dry when you are asleep. Try drinking at least a glass of lukewarm water before sleeping at night.

You are probably breathing through your mouth and drying out your mucous membranes in your throat when you sleep. That is probably why the pain disappears as soon as moisture goes down your throat.
