Answers: nurses not cleaning the condom catherdine or w/e its called where they urinate at the tube

If you mean catheters, yes, those can lead to infections even if they are cleaned properly. People need different sizes of catheters (just like every other body part, urethras come in different sizes), but unfortunately the ones used in hospitals are usually too big (hospitals really like 16Fr and 18Fr, even though most people usually are closer to 12Fr or 14Fr, which is probably more than you ever wanted to know about catheters...), which can cause some pain and irritation. Then there's the fact that the thing is usually left in for hours or days at a time, and when it sits there for that long, bacteria can gather on it. Once it's finally taken out, it's common for people to develop UTIs. Keep in mind, however, that it often burns the first few times you pee naturally after catheterization, plus it sometimes leaves you with a slight residual urge even if you don't really have to pee, so make sure it actually is a UTI and not just those normal symptoms.

Catheter. Yes.

Absolutely. Anytime there is bacteria present, there is a chance for infection

catheters cause UTIs more often than not, even if everything was done exactly right
