With all the activities, I would say this is common. If you are a type A personality that is anxious and uptight.................your muscles will always be tense. This requires learning what triggers anxiety and may need meds. If it is from overuse or not properly stretching before an activity and gets too bad...........you may want to consider a chiropractor or even muscle relaxants for awhile. You have to get to the source of the problem . For now, I would try one of the patches sold OTC or a pain relieving topical gel. Apply heat (preferably moist heat ) to the areas. You can make your own heating pad by taking a small towel and wetting it . Fold it inside another towel but make sure that's wet too. Put it in the microwave about 3 minutes, but be careful it may be hot. This can be repeated as many times as necessary as it cools off too quickly. If you have a heating pad......use it. Let your muscles heal before you continue all your activities so you won't get a worse condition and damage your muscles or possible tear them. Feel better and get well.

forget the drugs try warmth once again hot shower mixed with mildly cold water 45 secs hot 15 cold , then tell somenone you know to give you a good massage preferably a specialist to relax the strained muscles, and maybe dont forget to rest those muscles from time to time , you cant allways drive a car ,you have to fill it with gas sometimes

have someone your very close to like your boyfriend or girlfriend..put hot losten on your areas that need to be done..have them massage you for 30 min no talking..anything out of ordanary will tense you all up again..i had my girlfriend massage me on my neck and shoulders for 35 min..man that was so,so,so,so good

Aching muscles is a common side effect from some prescription medications.

If that is not the problem perhaps you are getting too much exercise.
