If I have a torn ligament in my foot... would would the normal treatment for tha!
Question: First of all I am going to go to the doctor for this but I'm wondering what might come of my situation. Abut 2 months ago I'm pretty sure I stretched / sprained / possibly tore a ligament in my left foot. It doesn't bother me all the time, mostly while walking down stairs so I've just dealt with it. But now it's getting worse and more painful. I'm afraid the Dr. is going to put me in one of those boot things and tell me to say off of it. I'm all ready doing that as much as possible but with a 21 month old that isn't all that possible. SO I guess my real question is am I most likely going to be only wearing one shoe for a while?

IF it is a torn ligament they might put you in an aircast - a very lightweight short boot with velcro straps. It is not that horrendous and you can wear sneakers with it. If the damage is significant sometimes torn ligaments require surgery. Good luck!
Depends whether you have sprained or tore it? Depends which ligament it is and whether there is an alternative avaliable. I'm afraid with such little information you cannot get a proper answer here despite what some people say.
