Answers: good answers not just a 1 liner

Like Angelina said, there is no typical day. It can change from minute to minute.

Give or take a few, these are the things we do:
Chest
Ribs
Sternum
Sternoclavicular joints
Soft Tissue Neck
Abdomen
Cervical spine
Thoracic Spine
Scoliosis series
Lumbar Spine
Sacrum and Coccyx
Sacroiliac Joints
Pelvis
Hip
Skull
Facial Bones
Mandible
Zygomatic arch
Temporomandibular Joints
Nasal Bones
Orbits
Paranasal Sinuses
Toes
Foot
Calcaneus
Ankle
Tib-Fib
Knee
Patella
Femur
Fingers
Hand
Wrist
Forearm
Elbow
Humerus
Shoulder
Scapula
Clavicle
Acromioclavicular joints
Bone Survey
Long Bone Measurement
Bone Age
Soft Tissue/Foreign Body
Esophagus
Swallowing Dysfunction Study
Upper GI
Small Bowel Series
Barium Enema
Surgical Cholangiography
ERCP
Cystography
Cystourethrography
Intravenous Urography
Retrograde Pyelography
Arthrography
Myelography
Venography
Hysterosalpingography
Portable x-rays (ex: in ER and ICU)
Operating room cases using a C-arm
Morgue cases are possible

There's really no "typical" day of an x-ray tech, each day is different upon what services that hospitals radiology department performs and what patients come through the door that day. A lot of hospitals do fluoro exams (these would be live x-rays of people drinking barium to check for reflux, etc) and IVP exams (a dye injected into a vein, shows the vessels in through the kidneys, stones and other stuff may show up). You could have a day where you're doing chest x-rays and other basic x-rays all day or a day where the emergency room is busy and you're doing multiple x-rays on arms, heads, feet, etc. Typical isn't a good word to try and describe anything in the health care department.
