Any ideas on how I can get to sleep?!

Question: For a week or two now, I've been staying up really late (until about 5am on average, waking up after noon) because I just don't feel tired. I don't have any caffeine before bed (only when I wake up), and 'relaxing' sounds just cause a distraction. It is literally impossible to relax in any situation. I get really tired all through the day, but not at night. I've tried talking to my parents, but they just tell me to turn my fan off (I keep my fan on 24/7 because I get too hot, even in winter. My room gets filled with spiders if I open the windows). When I finally do get to sleep, I may wake up several times through the night. I don't fall asleep during the day, but I am really irritable and generally horrible to be around. My lack of ability to fall asleep has resulted in me pulling frequent all-nighters (not on school days).
My parents have been having a go at me every day because I am always awake all night, and asleep all morning.

How can I get to sleep earlier and easier?

Here are a few suggestions:

1.) If you like tea, my older sister drinks "Sleepy Time" tea every night before she goes to bed and she says it literally puts her to sleep. I personally haven't tried it, but she is pretty much a 24/7 worker so her confidence in this tea making her hit the hay quickly was a surprise.

2.) If you find yourself unable to sleep because there is a lot on your mind, maybe ask your parents if you could try a non-dependent sleep medication, at least for a few nights to help get you on the right sleeping schedule.

Also, if you try and sleep with the tv on, that doesn't actually work because it is stimulating.

I hope you get some sleep soon, Good luck!

Regarless of what time you went to bed get up at a sensible time, (say 7am?) dont nap during the day, don't let yourself go to bed before 10pm and in a couple of days you will sleep like a baby.

Lol same here. The Christmas holidays are over and I need 2 go bk 2 skul 2morrow. Ive been staying up all night at 3 the earliest and 8 the latest! I bought Horlicks from the shop and I'll drink it later. I dunno if it works but my grandad says it does so Imma try it. It's also cheap and u can buy em in almost any shops so it's affordable.

OR

I think u can either buy sleeping pills that aren't too strong from the shops...
