Why is the other side of the pillow always cold?!

....because the space heater that is a human body isnt in contact with the other side, and because any heat already in the pillow will rise to the top and escape.
because your body isnt keeping it warmer. haha im not sure or it's not really creating friction.
i think its because your body temp is heating up the side your head is on.

im not sure. but im always flipping my pillow over every few minutes before i fall asleep, just so i can feel the "cold side". lol. drives my husband crazy!
