I hurt my toe Thursday. Dropped a car battery on it! Still in pain?!

Question: I am still in pain when I walk on my foot. It was my pinky toe. I went to the ER and the took an xray that night and they said it was not broken and gave me 12 pain pills and said it would feel better in a couple of days. It seems to be getting worse as in pain and i am supposed to go back to work tomorrow. I have been taking motrin but no help, what should I do?

Be careful with it, if you still are feeling pain in the next couple of days I would go back to the doctor. True story- I used to work with a lady whose sister stubbed her toe on the frame of her bed, she had a bruise and a little swelling from it. The toe continued to hurt and she didn't go to the Doctor. She died not long after the incident because a blood clot formed in her toe and went straight to her heart. I'm not trying to scare you but just be careful.

I would take it easy get plenty of sllep and keep a heating pad on it

You should ice it, and if you're still in pain go back to the emergency room.

apply ice 20 min on 20 min off, do not exceed 20 min on at a time or you get the reverse effect.
Tape your little toe to the one next to it, this will give it support and protection.
Hope it gets better soon.
