Back pain?!?!

Question: I've been having pain in my lower back for a while now. Massages seem to help and I'm not too keen on taking painkillers. The pain's started extending up my back now and I'm just wondering, has anyone had anything similar? If so, what did you do about it (if anything)?

thanks

I have a a bit of back pain in my life some more serious then others but to relieve the pain there are a couple of things to try. First make sure there is nothing seriously wrong with your back...try to remember how and why it started hurting in the first place. Car accident of sudden twist that caused it see a doc, overuse, get massage it does indeed help and doc might even recommend massage for a more simple case of serious. You can try this to relieve the pain though. Lay down on a firm surface, pull your knees to your chest, put your finger right in the middle of the crease in the back of your knee then bend your knees tight so that your knees are touching you chest and your calves are touching your tush, begin to rock slowly from side to side pressing as much as is comfortable on the spot behind your knee. Be sure to always keep your back and tush on the surface you are laying on and just move your knees side to side. This is a como move of Thai massage and acupressure. This move helps relieve tension from the piriformis, as well as multifidus muscles.
Good luck and be well in health

i have back pains because i have Osteoporsis. You should see a doctor and you should be taken something for it. Don't suffer.

At 17 I doubt the pain is anything serious, might have pulled a few muscles as the massage helps. Therefore you really need to start some form of exercise for your back, as it is muscles related. Good Luck
