Maybe Mom hit him there for being naughty(lol)? Just wait for the results of his checkup instead of worrying yourself sick.

Go to the er now!! He could be having a heart attack. This happened to my father! Please, do not wait. I do not want to scare you, but my father didn't go to the er and he died as a result. It turned out to be a massive heart attack.

he could of had a mild heart attack. or because of the swelling in his hand could be poor circulation i would have gotten him to er instead of waiting on the doctors.

Call "ask a Nurse" to make sure it's not serious enough to get immediate attention before tomorrow.

The pain a small heart attack, swelling I'm not sure

sounds like a cold in the arm.. but take that with a grain of salt.. it could be anything,, but unless he hurt it with activity there sholud be nothing to major that chicken soup can't cure

could be a mini stroke make sure he goes to the docs tomorrow

He should go to there ER now!! maybe a heart attack or a blood clot forming or some form of cellulitis!!

before taking him to the er, give him an asprin if you have it.

Does he have any chest pain because if so this could be the signs of a heart attack.

Could be a heart attack. Things could get worse. Don't ignore it phone a paramedic or something it doesnt have to be an emergency for severe pain, if it is a heart attack better for someone to see him sooner than later.

I agree with the person who said go to the emergency room now! That's a classic symptom of a heart attack. If he hasn't done anything to strain his arm, and a heating pack causes no relief (which you said was the case), it's probably not muscle-related...which makes it more likely that it is something else - and possibly a heart attack. PLEASE get it checked out sooner than tomorrow.
