Would walking on my knee make it worse?!

Question: I'm 14 and I sprained my knee. I really don't want to use my crutches because the pain isn't excruciating(I can sort of run/almost walk normally, but It hurts alot when I do that) I have crutches but theyre so annoying. I'm afraid if I don't use them though that my knee is going to become worse, what's your suggestion, I'm also worried about what people will think. what do you think my friends will say

use your crutches until your knee heals

Use one crutch. You put the crutch under the opposite arm of your injured leg. So if you hurt your left knee, use the crutch on the right side or vice versa. DO NOT use it on the same side as the injured knee. It will give you the stability you need, but not be as annoying. I have been using crutches for years of my life for a bad knee (15 surgeries in 14 years). They suck I know. Good luck.

I would go ahead and follow your doctors instructions and I would probably go ahead and just use your crutches so that you don't risk further injury and being on crutches longer than you originally were suppose to be. Don't worry about what people think, most people are concerned, but the ones who aren't don't truly care about people and aren't your friends. Good luck!
