Terrifying night...*self injury/eatng disorder trigger*?!

Question: Last night, to put it simply, was crappy.

I cut myself last night, not too deep but deeper then normal. It bled a bit, maybe 6-7minutes and then covered it up. I went to find my ace bandage, but before I could find it I got this horrible sick feeling in my stomach. I felt like I was going to puke. I tried to brush it off, but it got worse. Everything was going dark and I knew I had to lie down. So I did, frightened and exhausted I felt my pulse which was insanely slow (more so than normal). It was 48(normally around 60). I forced myself to get up about 10mins later because I needed to change my bandges. So with that over, I thought I could get some sleep. Well here's were the next problem comes in. I lay down and not even a minute later I get this horrible pain in my lower abdomen. It's the wostinging feelingrst pain I've ever felt, it's not a cramping feeling but more burning/. No comfortable position at all.

I doubt the stomach pains had anything to do with the cut/s. But the feeling that you might pass out could have been caused by it, if you think you lost a lot of blood in those few minutes. If you're recovering from anorexia and are therefore eating more than before, your stomach might still be getting used to that. As for your period, I don't think that would affect you very much, unless it's abnormally heavy. Usually you don't lose enough blood to cause complications, even if you haven't been healthy enough to get one for a while. If you get sick like that again or if it's really concerning you, ask your doctor about it. But who knows? You might have just eaten something that your stomach didn't agree with. I hope your recovery is going well and you continue to get better. Good luck!!

youd better go and see your doctor

I think you need therapy more than I do. Sorry.

Cutting is so 90s. Its all about self-biting now. What are you, some old hippy?

where did u cut if it was your wrist you could of cut a vein there is alot more if you want to talk my email is smile.jesuslovesu@yahoo.com

The only way you can know for sure is to see a doctor. It may just be a sign to stop cutting yourself and get help. I hope everything gets better for you & you find out what is wrong. Good luck.

I think you need to see a Doc. This can eventually turn into a HUGE problem and you could Die from it. (The cutting that is) as far as the pain...... I think it could be a cross between getting your period and losing blood. Either way You need to get to a Doc right away. I am praying for you.

Hi.. You got it!! Your pain sounds to be from your large blood loss and your period, yes, your period. Since you didn't have one for a while, it doubled-up, they do do that.
Coninsidentally you also cut yourself in the same time frame so you did loose a ton of blood.. Your body will get very weary and tired and maybe faint or pass-out for a time..
Yes, chocolate replaces your lost sugar, very smart of you to think to do that!! :-))))))

You should go to the hospital to get checked out and get that cut sewn up, ok? Infection isn't pretty.. Good Luck and be careful from now on..:-)))

First of all I have to say wow God bless you recovering from an Ed is a very hard thing just know you shouldn't do it alone talk to your doctor right away and see a therapist all of this self loathing is sad. You need to stop being so cruel to yourself ; your a human being and you need to love an except yourself for who you are. As for the pain in your abdomen there could be many reasons it could be or period or Ed related but only your doctor can tell. I highly recommend you go it could be something serious. Bless you
