How long does it normally take for a deep thumb cut to heal? what should i do ne!
Question: My bf suffered a serious injury at his working place. The tip of his thumb was cut off accidentally, however, his thumb was operated immediately after that. Its about 2 weeks already but he finds out he still hurt badly and he has to take pain medecines every day. I want to know how long it take to recover? any experience/opinion?
Now he is so depressed because he was suspended from his job due to disability, i have tried to make him happy (i am at thousands miles away from him and i have given emotional support to him so far through chatting and phone talks) but apparently not really help him. He becomes in moody from day to day because he keeps thinking that he will lose his career and will not get any compensation (even now he is in the lawsuit process for injury at workplace). What should i do next since i can't help him in person?

A thumb injury's recovery rate differs from a person to another, it also depends on the depth of the cut, but in ur bf's case two weeks and no recovery, then i suggest ur bf to seek for medical aid from another doctor, germs and bacteria will prevent ur thumb from recovering fully and may cause other damages.. get the doctor's advice regarding the recovery, surely ur bf will be more convinced from a professional.. hope he gets well soon.
Try Aloe Vera jel, or the leaf of an Aloe Vera plant. It promotes healing. I am sorry that you aren't there to comfort him, 'cause a hug can go a long way.
