How do you know if you have CARPAL TUNNEL?!

Question: well i play flute, glass flute, and piccolo and i practice every day from 1 hour to 2 hours. I already have tendonitis, and every time after i play for about 30-45 minutes of practicing, my wrist hurts really bad and looks kinda blue like my hands. Do i have carpal tunnel? yes, i know you arent doctors, blah blah blah, just give me your opinion please :) oh and i dont practice in one big chunk, i practice 30 minutes then take a small break then 30 minutes then a break......
Is there any ways to help the pain? What are some good websites that have info on carpal tunnel? any ideas or thoughts would be a huge help!!! oh and i also play piano too, but for only 30 minutes every day. I am also on the computer a lot, probably 2 hours every day [yes i know i shouldnt be on here for that long :)]

Carpal tunnel syndrome is sometimes caused by compression of a nerve that runs through your wrist, although there are many other causes and risk factors.

You have symptoms of a few things. You need to see a physician. Taking pain meds is not the answer because you could cause further damage and eventually be unable to play or use your computer. My sister had surgery, and trust me, the voice programs are not great when using your computer!

nsaid like ibuprofen and alieve are good things for pain relief. the way they work is taking away inflammation, and inflmmation is what causes the pain the the carpal tunnel around your nerves in your hand. if you turn your hand palm up tap fairly strong with your finger tips along your wrist and if it causes a tingle or and electrical shock in your hand then it is carpal tunnel
